Whitehaven Coal is one of Queensland’s leading metallurgical coal operations. As we continue to embed our systems, build capability and strengthen performance across site, we are seeking an experienced and driven Asset Health Coordinator to play a critical role in supporting asset integrity, infrastructure reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance, the Asset Health Coordinator will be responsible for driving reliability outcomes across infrastructure and non-production assets, ensuring strong governance, accurate master data and effective asset strategies.
You will take ownership across a diverse asset base and provide clear reporting to support site decision-making and compliance.
- Oversee reliability of site infrastructure assets, ensuring performance, compliance and continuous improvement
- Maintain and govern SAP master data, ensuring accuracy and integrity across asset registers
- Lead and support project work related to infrastructure upgrades and asset improvements
- Develop and implement non-maintenance asset strategies, focusing on risk reduction and lifecycle optimisation
- Ensure strategy and Master Data is maintained for other site infrastructure, inspections, ensuring regulatory compliance and reporting obligations are met
- Manage responsibility for all non-frontline equipment (e.g. ladders, jacks, portable equipment and ancillary assets)
- Deliver clear and timely reliability reporting, performance analysis and improvement recommendations
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in reliability engineering within mining, heavy industry or infrastructure environments
- Strong understanding of asset management principles and lifecycle strategies
- Experience with SAP or similar CMMS systems, particularly master data governance
- Ability to manage compliance-driven inspections and reporting requirements
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate data into actionable outcomes
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage across maintenance, projects and leadership teams
