We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our Blackwater operation — one of Australia’s largest open cut coal mines.

This is an excellent opportunity to take your HR career on site and partner closely with leaders in a dynamic, fast-paced mining environment.


About the Role


Based at Blackwater, this role partners closely with site leadership to deliver practical, value-adding HR support in a fast-paced mining environment.

In this role you will:

  • Partner with leaders to deliver HR strategies aligned to site objectives
  • Provide advice and support on employee relations, performance and workforce matters
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legislation and safety regulations
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive work culture that supports teamwork and productivity.
  • Engage and support stakeholders.
     

Key Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrate proactive attitude with a genuine passion for Human Resources and people outcomes
  • Substantial HR experience, ideally within the Mining or a related heavy industry sector
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline, highly regarded
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation and Queensland industrial relations requirements
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all organisational levels
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fastpaced, dynamic operational environment, with a strong emphasis on safety and productivity
  • Welldeveloped problemsolving capability, with a practical, solutionsfocused approach
