Whitehaven is seeking experienced and safety-focused Project Execution Supervisors to join our growing Project Team at Blackwater Mine.
Reporting to the Construction Projects Lead, these roles are responsible for coordinating and supervising the safe and efficient execution of construction and infrastructure projects across site. You will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality and performance.

About the Role
As a Project Execution Supervisor, you will provide day-to-day oversight of project construction activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project schedules and quality requirements.
You will serve as the key interface between contractors, project teams and site operations, helping to drive successful project outcomes while maintaining Whitehaven Coal's commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate project execution activities.
- Monitor contractor performance, productivity and compliance with site requirements.
- Ensure all works are conducted in accordance with safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Coordinate daily project activities and manage interfaces with operational teams.
- Conduct field inspections, audits and verification of completed works.
- Assist with project scheduling, planning and resource coordination.
- Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues and opportunities.
- Provide accurate reporting on project progress, safety and performance metrics.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, teamwork and accountability.
About You
- Previous experience supervising construction, infrastructure, maintenance or capital project works in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
- Strong contractor management and coordination skills.
- Commitment to safety leadership and continuous improvement.
- Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Practical problem-solving capability and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications & Experience
- Trade qualification, construction-related qualification or relevant industry experience.
- Supervisory experience within mining, construction or major project environments.
- Project delivery experience within a mining operation highly regarded.
- Relevant statutory tickets and certifications will be advantageous.
