Key duties and responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and communicate mine plans and schedules ensuring safety and production outcomes are met.
- Prepare weekly and end of month reports
- Liaise with the Project Manager, design team, operations, EPCM service providers & contractors to coordinate resources and communicate requirements
- Cost Estimation and cost control
- ‘In field’ verification of progress and quality control of the works
- Ensure integration of environmental factors into mine design and planning processes.
- Develop and implement environmental management strategies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement of rehabilitation earthworks to meet business objectives and rehabilitation completion criteria
- Monitor environmental performance, including air quality, water management, and land rehabilitation.
- Implement carbon reduction, energy efficiency, and waste minimization strategies.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering: Civil or Mining
- Experienced Project Engineer with 5-7 years exp
- Ideally with design and execution experience within Mining Construction or Mining Operations
- Rehabilitation experience would be highly valued
- Strong communication skills.
