Project Engineer Rehabilitation

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and communicate mine plans and schedules ensuring safety and production outcomes are met.
  • Prepare weekly and end of month reports
  • Liaise with the Project Manager, design team, operations, EPCM service providers & contractors to coordinate resources and communicate requirements
  • Cost Estimation and cost control
  • ‘In field’ verification of progress and quality control of the works
  • Ensure integration of environmental factors into mine design and planning processes.
  • Develop and implement environmental management strategies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of rehabilitation earthworks to meet business objectives and rehabilitation completion criteria
  • Monitor environmental performance, including air quality, water management, and land rehabilitation.
  • Implement carbon reduction, energy efficiency, and waste minimization strategies.

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering: Civil or Mining
  • Experienced Project Engineer with 5-7 years exp
  • Ideally with design and execution experience within Mining Construction or Mining Operations
  • Rehabilitation experience would be highly valued
  • Strong communication skills.
