Our Blackwater Mine is a key asset within our portfolio, and we are seeking a driven and analytical Continuous Improvement Specialist to help unlock value, enhance performance, and support our journey toward operational excellence.
About the Role
This role will focus on identifying, developing, and embedding continuous improvement initiatives across the operation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive productivity, reduce waste, and improve systems across mining, processing, mine planning, maintenance and site services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across site operations
- Analyse data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
- Facilitate workshops, root cause analyses, and problem-solving sessions
- Drive implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
- Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to track improvement outcomes
- Partner with operational leaders to embed a culture of continuous improvement
- Support project delivery and change management activities across site
What You Will Bring
- Demonstrated experience in a continuous improvement, business improvement, or operational excellence role
- Ability to adapt to dynamic operational, and strategic, priorities
- Background in mining, heavy industry, or similar environment (highly regarded)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies (certification desirable)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to influence, coach, and drive change across all levels of the business
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, or related discipline (preferred)
