Superintendent Projects | Blackwater Mine| Whitehaven Coal

We now seek an experienced Project Superintendent to lead the successful delivery of key site-based projects.
This is a pivotal leadership role where you will oversee the planning, design and execution of mining infrastructure and capital projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and within budget.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of site-based projects from concept through to execution
  • Manage the design and construction of mining and infrastructure projects
  • Provide strong leadership to project teams, contractors and stakeholders
  • Ensure all projects meet safety, environmental and compliance standards
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, cost control and risk management
  • Drive continuous improvement across project delivery processes and performance


What You’ll Bring

  • Several years’ experience in project management within mining industry
  • Proven experience in the design and construction of mining or infrastructure projects
  • Engineering qualification (highly regarded)
  • Strong understanding of mining operations and site-based project delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage contractors safely and effectively
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Solid commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and timelines
