Whitehaven Coal is proud to be the leading Australian ASX-listed producer of premium-quality coal. We currently operate four mines in NSW and we’re excited to grow our QLD operations via the announced acquisition of 100% of BMA’s Daunia and Blackwater coal mines in the Bowen Basin.

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Manage the implementation and maintenance of SHMS
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety across the operation.
• Optimise operational efficiency and productivity.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for site systems improvements.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to site personnel.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within the mining or relevant industrial sector.
• Strong understanding of site systems, process control, and safety management.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Relevant qualifications in Safety, Law, Risk Management, or a related field are preferred.
