About the Role:
We are seeking expressions of interest for experienced Fixed Plant Controllers to join our Remote Operations Centre (ROC) team in Brisbane. This position is suited to a fixed plant professional looking for a new opportunity in Brisbane or someone transitioning from a site-based role.
As a Fixed Plant Controller, you will be responsible for real-time monitoring and the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of our Blackwater and Daunia CHPP’s. This is a 24/7 control room environment, working closely with site-based operations, maintenance teams, and other ROC personnel to ensure consistent coal quality and plant performance.
Your key focus will be on minimising downtime, identifying emerging issues, and optimising throughput in line with production targets and safety standards. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the evolution of remote mining operations, leveraging data and technology to drive operational performance from Brisbane.
Please note, Fixed Plant controller’s work a 7on/7off rotating day night roster.
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor and control fixed plant infrastructure using advanced technology and remote systems from the ROC.
- Manage and optimise our CHPP’s to support and improve safety, production and cost outcomes.
- Analyse real-time data and implement operational adjustments as needed to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with various departments including production, maintenance, and engineering to resolve operational issues and improve processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and cost-effectiveness.
What You’ll Bring:
- A solid background in fixed plant operations, with specific experience in Coal Handling and Preparation Plants (CHPP).
- Familiarity with CITECT SCADA and AMPLA systems and hands-on experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success in processing plant operations, either on-site or within a remote operations centre environment.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on leveraging data to inform decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective coordination with both site-based and remote teams.
