About the Role:

We are seeking a Fixed Plant Controller to join our Remote Operations Centre (ROC) team in Brisbane. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced fixed plant professional looking to relocate to Brisbane or transition from a site-based role into remote operations.

 

You will be responsible for the real-time monitoring and safe, efficient operation of our CHPPs within a 24/7 control room environment. Working closely with site operations, maintenance teams, and ROC personnel, you will help maintain coal quality, optimise plant performance, minimise downtime, and maximise throughput in line with production and safety targets.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the evolution of remote mining operations, leveraging technology and data to drive operational performance from Brisbane. Please note, this position is offered as a 16-month maximum-term contract.

 

What You’ll Do  

  • Monitor and control fixed plant infrastructure remotely using advanced ROC systems and technology.
  • Optimise CHPP performance to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
  • Analyse real-time operational data and implement adjustments to maximise plant efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A solid background in fixed plant operations, with specific experience in coal handling and preparation plants (CHPP).
  • Hands-on experience with CITECT SCADA and AMPLA systems.
  • Demonstrated success in processing plant operations, either on-site or within a remote operations centre environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on leveraging data to inform operational decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective coordination with both site-based and remote teams.
