We are seeking a detail-oriented Long Term Maintenance Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating maintenance plans that ensure our equipment operates at peak performance, supporting long-term production goals and minimizing downtime. This position is integral to our mission, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams to align maintenance activities with Whitehaven’s operational objectives and can be based in Brisbane or Newcastle
Key Responsibilities
- Long-Term Planner Field: Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance plans to enhance equipment reliability and availability.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and supply teams to schedule resources effectively and minimize operational interruptions.
- Performance Monitoring: Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, develop forecasts, and make adjustments to maintenance plans accordingly.
- Resource Management: Ensure all necessary resources, including parts, tools, and labor, are planned and available to meet maintenance schedules.
- Continuous Improvement: Work proactively to identify and implement improvements in maintenance processes and strategies.
- Safety Leadership: Uphold and promote Whitehaven Coal’s safety standards, ensuring all planning activities prioritize workplace safety.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience & Knowledge: Minimum of 3+ years in maintenance planning or a similar role, preferably within mining or heavy industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in maintenance planning software (e.g., SAP, Pronto) and strong analytical skills for data-driven planning.
- Organizational Abilities: Strong organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach to scheduling and resource coordination.
- Communication & Teamwork: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team and across departments.
- Safety Focus: A solid understanding of industry safety protocols and a commitment to promoting a safe work environment.
