About The Role:

As Manager – Operational Technology, you will provide strategic leadership across OT, developing the technology strategy, roadmap and systems that enable safe, reliable and efficient operations.

Working closely with operational, technology, engineering and cybersecurity teams, you will identify opportunities to improve and innovate through OT solutions, lead the delivery of OT data systems, and ensure technology investments align with operational priorities and future business needs.

You will oversee forecasting, project delivery and budgets, while ensuring OT systems remain secure, reliable, compliant and fit for purpose. You will also lead and mentor the OT team, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and build strong relationships with technology vendors and suppliers to support effective delivery and ongoing performance.

Reporting to the General Manager – Asset Management & Technology, you will play a key role in advancing OT capability and maturity across our operations. This position is based centrally in Brisbane with site travel required.

What You'll Do:

• Develop the Whitehaven OT strategy and roadmap, aligning technology investment with operational priorities, forecasts and business objectives.
• Evaluate and optimise OT hardware, software, data solutions and systems to improve reliability, performance, efficiency and decision making.
• Deliver key OT projects, managing submissions, budgets, forecasting, scope, timelines and financial outcomes.
• Establish OT data solutions and performance reporting to support operational monitoring, assurance and informed decision making.
• Partner with IT, operational and cybersecurity teams to strengthen OT security, compliance, risk management and critical control requirements.
• Lead and develop the OT team, manage vendor relationships and drive continuous improvement and emerging technology adoption.

What You'll Bring:

• An engineering or technology qualification, or equivalent experience, with 10+ years in technology or a related discipline, ideally in mining or heavy industry.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of OT systems, technology platforms, network architecture and operational environments.
• Proven experience developing OT strategies, delivering technology solutions and improving reliability, performance and operational efficiency.
• Apply strong project, budget and analytical skills, including performance reporting, data analysis and technology investment planning.
• Understand OT cybersecurity, risk, compliance, safety and assurance requirements, including audits and critical controls.

• Lead with strong communication, stakeholder and people skills, translating emerging technologies into practical outcomes and driving continuous improvement.
