Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive Long Term Mobile Maintenance Planner to join our team in Brisbane or Newcastle looking afer Blackwater Mine. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term maintenance plans specifically for mobile equipment to optimize reliability and performance. This critical position requires a blend of technical expertise and collaborative skills to align maintenance strategies with operational objectives, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Mobile Equipment Planning: Develop and manage long-term maintenance plans focused on optimizing mobile equipment uptime and lifecycle.
- Coordination & Scheduling: Collaborate closely with the maintenance and operations teams to ensure resources and schedules align with production requirements.
- Performance Analysis: Track and analyze mobile equipment performance data, identifying trends to make informed adjustments to maintenance plans.
- Resource Management: Ensure the availability of all necessary resources, including parts, tools, and skilled labor, for effective maintenance planning.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance the reliability and performance of mobile equipment.
- Safety Commitment: Prioritize Whitehaven Coal’s core safety standards in all planning activities, fostering a safe and compliant work environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in maintenance planning, preferably in mobile equipment maintenance within the mining or heavy industry sector.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in maintenance planning software (e.g., SAP, Pronto) and data analysis for effective decision-making.
- Organizational & Planning Skills: Strong organizational abilities, with a focus on detail-oriented scheduling and proactive problem-solving.
- Communication & Teamwork: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Safety-Oriented: Deep understanding of safety standards and a strong commitment to promoting a culture of safety in the workplace.
