The Principal – Asset Management Systems, reporting to the Manager – Asset Engineering is responsible for the establishment, documentation, and management of asset standards and technical guidelines, ensuring the compliance and safe, effective and efficient use of mining assets with all relevant standards.
Responsibilities:
- Establish the asset management system for the management of heavy mining assets
- Define, document, and implement asset standards for equipment, machinery, and infrastructure
- Ensure all assets meet regulatory and safety standards through regular audits and compliance assessments.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies into the asset management framework to improve performance, reduce costs, and enhance operational safety.
- Standardise asset management processes across different sites, creating uniformity in equipment specifications, maintenance procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, procurement, and safety teams to ensure standards are understood and implemented
- Maintain comprehensive records of asset standards, performance reports, and compliance audits.
- Mentor others within the business to build a high-performing team of engineers and asset management professionals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with site maintenance and engineering teams to improve asset performance & compliance.
Key Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree (Bachelor) qualification in Engineering (Mech, Elec, Mining or similar)
- Strong experience in the mining / heavy industry or related professional experience
