Within this role you will provide technical expertise in the development and continuous improvement of equipment and facilities maintenance strategies that provide optimal whole of life asset performance (reliability, availability, maintainability) outcomes for our operational sites.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop maintenance strategies using basic reliability engineering principles to improve reliability and availabilitty
- Ensure that Maintenance Strategies and tactical work programs align with key asset management objectives and KPIs. This involves regularly reviewing and assessing their effectiveness, making necessary adjustments to drive performance improvements and meet organisational goals
- Provide professional engineering advice specific to the development and continual improvement of standards, specifications, and procedures throughout the entire asset life cycle
- Identify and assess risks associated with asset deterioration, operational issues, or failure, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Undertake technical and economic reviews and trials of new materials and construction processes, evaluating their potential to achieve commercially focused business outcomes. This includes identifying opportunities for cost optimisation, resource utilisation, and improved asset performance
- Assess and support research and development projects that hold promise for significant advancements in the management of assets. This includes staying informed about industry advancements, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to identify relevant projects, and advocating for their implementation to enhance asset management practices.
What you will require
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field; and/or certification in asset management is a plus.
- Experienced user of SAP or similar work management systems
- Drivers Licence – Class C
