Senior Planner Long Term BWM Mobile Maintenance

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner - Long Term Mobile Maintenance to join our Blackwater Mine (BWM) team working from Brisbane or Newcastle. This role is crucial for maintaining optimal mobile equipment performance, reliability, and longevity. The Senior Planner will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and optimizing long-term maintenance strategies for mobile equipment, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless execution of maintenance plans in alignment with Whitehaven’s operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Long-Term Planning for Mobile Equipment: Create and manage comprehensive maintenance plans for mobile equipment, focusing on long-term reliability and performance optimization.
• Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with maintenance, operations, and supply chain teams to align maintenance schedules with production requirements and resource availability.
• Data Analysis & Forecasting: Analyze equipment performance data, identify trends, and forecast maintenance needs, making proactive adjustments to long-term strategies.
• Resource & Inventory Management: Ensure all necessary resources, including parts, tools, and skilled labor, are planned and available to execute maintenance schedules effectively.
• Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead initiatives to streamline maintenance processes, enhance mobile equipment reliability, and support sustainability goals.
• Safety Leadership: Uphold Whitehaven Coal’s safety standards, ensuring that all planning activities prioritize workplace safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: A minimum of 5+ years in maintenance planning, specifically within mobile maintenance in the mining or heavy industry sectors.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of maintenance planning software (e.g., SAP, Pronto) and data analysis tools.
• Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and refine long-term strategies based on data-driven insights.
• Communication & Leadership Skills: Excellent communication skills with proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and build strong working relationships.
