About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate individual to join our team to provide technical support and leadership for the management, configuration, and support of Whitehaven’s fixed plant control systems.

Reporting into the Lead – Control Systems, this role ensures that these systems are deployed, maintained and supported to meet operational standards and requirements, while contributing to continuous improvement across the Whitehaven group.

This is a Brisbane based role, but occasional site visits and travel are required as part of managing key relationships and projects.

What you will do:

• Provide expertise and leadership for the management, configuration, and support of fixed plant control systems.
• Ensures systems are deployed, maintained, and supported to meet standards and requirements.
• Manage and support the deployment, configuration, and remote support of SCADA control systems (CHPP, TLO, Yard) and PLC systems.
• Administer and support Pi Vision systems, CHPP OT Workstations, and Gate Access Systems.
• Manage and support Environmental Monitoring Systems and Lighting Plant & Pump Automation Systems.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Control Systems Technology or relevant mining industry experience.
• Strong technical expertise in SCADA, PLC, and control systems within mining or industrial environments.
• Demonstrated experience in project management and performance analysis of control systems.
• Proficiency in the administration of Pi Vision systems and similar OT platforms.
• Ability to support change management processes and display strong stakeholder communication skills.
