About the Role:

Reporting to the Superintendent – Offsite Repairs, this role coordinates end-to-end repairable and warranty processes to deliver consistent, reliable component repair performance. It ensures safety compliance, optimises fleet-specific repairable inventory, and supports collaboration across Blackwater and Daunia operations, with future expansion into New South Wales.

 

The role also oversees the Whitehaven Rebuild Program inventory, supports refurbishment frameworks and decision-making, reviews exchange program variations, contributes to performance reporting, conducts vendor inspections, and manages warranty claims to drive quality and commercial outcomes.

 

Based in Brisbane, this position plays a key role in strengthening asset reliability, sustainability, and operational performance.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Support major component refurbishments, including vendor inspections and quality checks for critical rebuilds and service exchange components.
  • Partner with maintenance, reliability, engineering, and supply teams to optimise repairable inventory across Queensland operations.
  • Develop and improve warranty and refurbishment decision tools, dashboards, and reporting to support better asset decisions.
  • Manage the end-to-end warranty process, including claims, dispute resolution, performance tracking, and identifying asset disposal opportunities.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with site safety standards.

 

What You Will Bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering Management or a relevant trade qualification, with industry experience in asset management within the resources sector.
  • Proven experience in offsite refurbishment and heavy equipment environments, with a strong focus on safety leadership.
  • Strong vendor and contract management skills, with demonstrated commercial acumen and negotiation capability.
  • Experience managing budgets, costs, and projects, with the ability to analyse issues and drive practical solutions.
  • Effective communicator and change leader, able to influence stakeholders and motivate teams (SAP Warranty & Repairs experience desirable).
