About The Role:

As an Autonomous Technician at Daunia, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical systems as well as troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing diagnostics, and ensuring autonomous equipment operates safely and efficiently. This role involves working in a dynamic team environment, collaborating with site personnel to achieve safety and performance targets.

This is a site-based position working a 7on/7off rotating day/night roster.

What You'll Do:

• Maintain and support autonomous mining systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on autonomous vehicles while collaborating with site operational teams and third-party support.
• Conduct routine diagnostics and upgrades to improve system efficiency, safety, and performance.
• Communicate effectively with maintenance and production teams to optimise equipment availability and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and contribute to a strong safety culture.

What You'll Bring:

• Trade qualification in Auto Electrical or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience with autonomous mining equipment and exposure to our Caterpillar truck fleet 797F, 793F, 785D.
• Certification in CAT Command for Hauling as well as experience with CAT Terrain and the CAT Minestar Fleet Management System.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for driving improvements to Autonomous Haulage Systems.
• The ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain strong relationships with all Whitehaven stakeholders.
• A positive attitude, an appetite to learn, and a desire to be part of a collaborative team culture.
