About The Role:
As a Field Maintenance Fitter at Daunia Mine, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of mobile mining equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards. This role involves working in a dynamic team environment, collaborating with site personnel to achieve safety and performance targets.
What You'll Do:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on mobile mining equipment, including excavators, haul trucks, and ancillary machinery.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and contribute to a strong safety culture.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
- Collaborate with maintenance supervisors and other team members to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to environmental and safety standards.
What You'll Bring:
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or Heavy Diesel Fitting.
- Proven experience in a mining maintenance environment (minimum 2 years), particularly with mobile mining equipment.
- Experience with Caterpillar 6040/6060 & Hitachi 3600 /5600 Excavators – 6040/6060, Caterpillar 7495 Shovel and D10 & D11 Dozers – highly regarded
- Experience with computer-based maintenance systems (e.g., SAP) is essential.
- Ability to work under pressure in high-intensity environments and manage competing priorities.
