About The Role:

Reporting to the Superintendent Planning & Reliability, you will provide leadership and support across Short and Mid-Term Maintenance Planning activities for a broad range of assets, including Mobile, Field & Ancillary Equipment, CHPP and Infrastructure.

 

In addition to leading planning outcomes, you will be directly responsible for maintenance scheduling, ensuring work is effectively prioritised, coordinated and executed to support safe, reliable and efficient operations. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and drive planning and scheduling excellence across site.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Lead short and mid-term maintenance planning and scheduling activities to ensure weekly plans are delivered safely and efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance schedules across mobile, field & ancillary equipment, CHPP and infrastructure assets to maximise reliability and availability.
  • Drive best practice planning, scheduling and work management processes, ensuring strong adherence to maintenance KPIs and metrics.
  • Coach and mentor the Planning team to improve safety, capability, work quality and overall performance.
  • Identify and implement initiatives that improve maintenance efficiency, productivity and cost effectiveness across site operations.

 

What You'll Bring:

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree, or relevant Trade qualification.
  • Proven experience in a similar planning and scheduling role, ideally within open-cut coal mining or heavy industry.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in mining, mineral processing or heavy industry, with strong maintenance planning and scheduling capability.
  • Strong working knowledge of CMMS, with advanced SAP S/4HANA experience required.
  • Experience with AMT or similar maintenance planning tools is highly regarded.
