About The Role:
Daunia’s Short and Mid-Term Maintenance Planning has transitioned from an offsite group function to our site-based Maintenance team. Given this, we have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Planning & Reliability to join our team and be a key part of developing the department onsite.
Reporting to the Superintendent Planning and Reliability, you will provide direct leadership to the Short and Mid-Term Planning team across all assets including Mobile, Field & Ancillary Equipment, CHPP and Infrastructure.
This is a site-based position working a 4on/3off Monday to Thursday roster.
What You'll Do:
- Provide effective leadership to the Short and Mid-Term Planning team with a focus on ensuring weekly plans are delivered and the adherence to work management metrics.
- Own and implement best practice planning structures, procedures and processes to ensure the effective and efficient scheduling of all maintenance activities.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to the team aimed at improving safety, work processes, cost, and overall capability.
- Drive initiatives that improve cost effectiveness and productivity for both Daunia and Whitehaven.
What You'll Bring:
- A tertiary Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification or relevant Trade qualification.
- An inspirational leader with prior experience in a similar role, preferably in an open-cut coal mining environment.
- Minimum of 5 years in the mining, mineral processing or heavy industries with a strong working knowledge of Maintenance Planning and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Advanced knowledge of SAP4Hana is required.
- Advanced knowledge of AMT is preferred
