About Daunia Mine:

Daunia mine is a high performing operation in Queensland's Bowen Basin, producing premium metallurgical coal for global export since 2013. Located southeast of Moranbah and neighbouring Whitehaven's Winchester South project, Daunia is equipped with world class infrastructure and autonomous haulage technology, enabling safe and efficient operations.

What You'll Do:

• Operate graders, excavators up to 50t, loaders, skid steers and other civil plant to safely complete mine site civil works.
• Construct and maintain LV access roads, shutdown pads, laydown areas, in-pit infrastructure and drainage systems.
• Assist the pump crew with dewatering activities to support safe and efficient mining operations.
• Conduct pre-start inspections, identify hazards, and maintain equipment and work areas to site safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with site teams to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality civil outcomes.

What You'll Bring:

• Proven experience operating final trim graders, excavators up to 50t, loaders, skid steers and other civil plant in mining and civil construction environments.
• Demonstrated experience delivering mine site civil works, including access roads, shutdown pads, laydown areas, in-pit infrastructure and drainage.
• Experience assisting pump crews with mine dewatering activities is highly regarded.

• A strong commitment to safety, teamwork and quality outcomes while living the Whitehaven STRIVE Values.

• Current Standard 11, the ability to obtain or pass a Queensland Coal Board Medical, and a current unrestricted C Class driver's licence.
• Reliable, proactive with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
