About The Role:
We are seeking a Specialist – Mine Scheduling to join the Technical Services team at Daunia. This opportunity is well suited to candidates with experience in scheduling, planning or Drill & Blast, providing the flexibility to leverage your existing skillset while broadening your technical and operational capability. Working within a technologically advanced operation, including an autonomous haulage environment, you will play a key role in supporting safe, efficient and value-driven mining outcomes.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and maintain short and medium-term mine schedules that support production, coal quality and operational objectives.
- Collaborate with operations, geology and engineering teams to identify constraints, optimise outcomes and deliver practical scheduling solutions.
- Support mine planning, drill and blast, production reporting and related technical services activities.
- Monitor schedule performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, productivity, cost performance and planning efficiency.
- Provide technical input into coal planning, scheduling and product optimisation to maximise value across the operation.
What You'll Bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline,
- Experience in mine scheduling, planning, drill and blast, or related technical disciplines, ideally within an open-cut mining operation.
- Proficiency in industry-standard mine planning and scheduling software, including Deswik, Vulcan or SPRY.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.
- A positive, values-driven mindset, with strong communication skills, and a genuine drive for continuous improvement.
