About The Role:
We are looking for a skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in improving the performance of mobile equipment with a particular focus on our Excavator, Dozer and Shovel fleet.
As a Reliability Engineer at Daunia, you will provide Mechanical Engineering support to the Planning & Reliability Department and conduct analytical work to identify, quantify and implement defect elimination activities.
What You'll Do:
- Complete daily investigations, weekly reporting of downtime events and the diagnosis of root causes to assist in providing permanent rectification of defects.
- Ensure the collection and maintenance of data, specifically focusing on production loss (downtime data).
- Provide advice and appropriate corrective action recommendations through updates of condition monitoring reports.
- Collaborate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to identify and adopt technologies and practices that will improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Engage in effective planning that anticipates and prepares for potential hazards while encourage proactive work to reduce the need for potential high-risk tasks.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
What You'll Bring:
- A tertiary Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ Reliability Engineering experience within a mining, mineral processing or heavy industrial environment.
- Experience with Caterpillar 6040/6060 & Hitachi 3600/5600 Excavators as well as Caterpillar 7495 Electric Rope Shovels is preferred.
- Proven track record of supporting maintenance and reliability activities for field plant equipment.
- Working knowledge of Maintenance Planning and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). (SAP4Hana is preferred)
- Advanced levels in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Word.
