About The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering and Technology Superintendent to join our innovative team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the engineering and technology and departments, ensuring the successful execution of projects and site operational technology function. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both technology and engineering management, with an ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and drive forward-thinking solutions.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the technology and engineering teams in planning, developing, and executing technology initiatives aligned with business goals.
  • Supervise the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects to ensure adherence to quality standards, budgets, and timelines.
  • Manage both operational technology and information technology teams to enhance operational efficiency and security
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, IT, and R&D, to optimize engineering processes and technology solutions.
  • Oversee the delivery of technology projects, from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Lead continuous improvements and upgrades across various engineering systems, ensuring optimal performance and future-readiness.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers, technicians, and IT staff.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and resources to meet project milestones and business objectives.
  • Lead the deployment and integration of Autonomous Haulage Systems, working closely with operations teams to ensure seamless adoption and maximum efficiency.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer, Science, IT or related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in engineering and or technology management, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sectors. With 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of modern technologies, including software development, automation, and systems integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety and regulatory standards in the engineering and technology fields.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive change.
