About the Role:

As a Field Maintenance Fitter at Daunia, you will perform planned and breakdown maintenance on a fleet of mobile mining equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation. Using your strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, you will troubleshoot and repair equipment while working closely with supervisors and site personnel to achieve maintenance, safety, and production targets. This role offers the opportunity to work on world-class mining equipment within a collaborative and safety-focused team environment.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct planned and breakdown maintenance on excavators, dozers, shovels, and other field equipment.
• Apply advanced mechanical, diagnostic, and fault-finding skills to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Minimise downtime through effective troubleshooting and timely repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to prioritise work and optimise resource allocation.

What You'll Bring:

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or Heavy Diesel Fitting.
• Minimum 2 years' post-trade experience in a mining maintenance environment, with a focus on mobile mining equipment.
• Proven experience working on large mining equipment, including Caterpillar and Hitachi excavators, electric shovels, and dozers.
• OEM experience and a current C Class Driver’s Licence will be highly regarded.
• Strong initiative, teamwork skills, and a demonstrated commitment to safety and quality.
