About The Role:

As an Auto Electrician at Daunia Mine, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical systems on heavy mining equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards. This role involves working in a dynamic team environment, collaborating with site personnel to achieve safety and performance targets.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on electrical systems of heavy mining equipment, including dump trucks, dozers, loaders, excavators, and other large-scale machinery.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs to air-conditioning systems.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operational teams to optimize equipment availability and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and contribute to a strong safety culture.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.

What You'll Bring:

• Trade qualification in Auto Electrical or a related field. With a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
• Proven experience in a mining maintenance environment, particularly with heavy mining equipment, Diggers 6040, 6060, 3600, 5600, Ancillary Gear Dozers, Graders, Loaders, Cat Truck 797F, 793F, 785D.
• Air-Con License and Drivers’ License – C Class
• Experience with computer-based maintenance systems (ideally SAP) is essential.
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work in high-intensity environments and manage competing priorities.
